On My Nightstand: "Talking as Fast as I Can" by Lauren Graham
So recently I've been binge watching one of my all time favorite comfort shows again- Gilmore Girls. Actually- when am I not watching this show? Usually a fall/winter show for me, but I haven't picked up anything new recently, so my automatic default shows are either: Friends, Modern Family, or Gilmore Girls until I find something new to watch.
Anyways, I just picked up Lauren Graham's book at the library the other day and I'm already halfway through. It's such an easy and light read that I'm enjoying. It's funny and whenever I'm reading it, its like I'm listening to Lorelai talk the whole time in my head! In the book, Lauren talks about how she got into acting from a young age and discusses her struggle finding her footing in acting. It also covers the behind-the-scenes of Gilmore Girls and Parenthood and even discusses her reflections on life.
Overall, I'm enjoying it. I think it's entertaining enough and a fun read for any fans of Gilmore Girls or Lauren Graham in general. It reads so easily, like you're just having a conversation with a friend. You'll like this if you want something light yet thoughtful and witty!
