Travel Diaries: Trip 2 Tennessee

For spring break my brother and our close family friends (also siblings) decided to do a road trip to Nashville, Tennessee. I went to Tennessee once as a kid, but we didn't stop by Nashville. This was the first time any of us were doing a trip together, so we thought it'd be a fun experience. With no set plans, we just made a spontaneous trip out of it for a few days. There's something exciting about making random plans and just going with the flow, so here's a quick look into our mini trip!

Nights 1 & 2: Broadway

The first two nights, we hit up the bars on Broadway in Downtown Nashville. The streets were lit in neon colors and filled with people of all ages having fun! Enjoy some random "aesthetic" photos I tried to take:

These were just a few of the bars we explored those nights. My personal favorites were:

- Friends! (nights 1&2)

- Miranda Lambert's (night 2)

-Kid Rocks (nights 1&2).

We ended up going to almost all the bars on Broadway and ended up staying out wayyy later than we intended, but it was such a fun time to let loose! I was also put on a new favorite drink called the Amaretto Sour. I know it's a drink that's been around forever, but it's new to me and I'm obsessed! My usual thing to do at a bar is just to sip on seltzers (specifically High Noon).

Day 2:

This was a chill day we spent wandering and walking around Nashville before going out to the bars at night again. We even went out to look for a cute pair of boots to purchase! Did I walk out with a pair? Sadly not. I just wanted to live out my Hannah Montana dreams! For lunch, we stopped to check out the Nashville Farmer's Market and ended up eating whatever we wanted from there since there were so many options for food to try. I settled with Mexican food while everyone else had their own pic- I didn't get a pic of the farmers market :( For dinner, we found a place called Five Points Pizza which had reallllyyy good pizza. We ordered the Garlic Knots, Veggie Pizza, and Cheese Pizza. So, so good. Highly recommend.

Day 3:

This was the last day in Tennessee, so we decided to go hiking in the Smokey Mountains. The last time I was at the Smokey Mountains was way back in 2010 with my parents, so I was excited to go back and see how much had changed. We ended up leaving later than we planned because we were exhausted from the night before and were basically running on 3-4 hours of sleep, but we powered through and still decided to go hike for a couple of hours. We also stopped by a Buc-ee's just to check it out. I was aware that Buc-ee's is a thing in Texas, but I thought it was really only a Texas thing. So when I saw the sign for one, we pulled over to check it out and WOW. I was so impressed and overwhelmed at the same time! It's absolutely massive and we even got a pic with the mascot that they have wandering around the store!

Anyways, we got to Pigeon Forge and the hiking area a bit late so we had to make the best of our time left to hike before it got dark and we needed to drive back to Nashville. This was actually one part of the trip I would've changed. Either we could have not gone hiking and explored a little bit more of Nashville than we did the other day, or we could've gotten up earlier and left to go hiking in the Smokey Mountains. It was still fun though, and that was the point of this trip anyways- spontaneity!

So those were just some random pics and moments of the trip I wanted to share!

Any places you visited while in Tennessee? I'd go back to visit and explore some more, so give me some other recs!
